DC Women

Harley Quinn and batgirl are the only ones I respect here because they aren’t just walking tits with no personality like 97% of DC women

Yeah, you obviously know what you’re talking about.

You know, I never did get what having “no personality” means. All of these women have well-thought out characterizations (at least pre-DCnU) with likeable aspects of their personalities. Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Karen Starr (Power Girl) are bold, ooze self-confidence and don’t apologize for being completely themselves. Dinah Lance (Black Canary) is tough-as-nails and yet she’s kind and nurturing as a mother figure to several other heroes. Pamela Isley (Poison Ivy), while typically cast as a cold “villain”, has a softer side; she is passionate about the earth and connects with it, and even took care of some of Gotham’s children once. Kimiyo Hoshi (Dr.Light) is a brilliant scientist to the point of arrogance at times, but she is selfless enough to use her acquired powers for good. Kara Zor-El started out like Superman himself, unsure of her place in the world, but she always kept on trying despite initial mistakes.

Diana of Themyscira (Wonder Woman)…oh god, she has no personality at all, this one. It must be because she is one of the most loving, compassionate and empathetic characters ever. She’s not just a butt-kicking badass Amazon princess; one of her greatest weapons isn’t just her fists, but her skill with diplomacy. She has such zero personality that Batman, that’s right, BATMAN, once said that everyone loves her, because it’s what she inspires in others when they meet her.

Basically, I’m sorry that you can’t look past these ladies’ bodies and your objectification of them as “walking tits” to truly see how they work inside. Just because they’re not as covered up as Batgirl and Harley Quinn, it doesn’t devalue their worth.

^ Bravo. Well said.
